It all started a few years ago when I noticed trash tumbling on an island. It broke my heart. Research revealed that the Greek islands do, in fact, have a major trash issue as they receive an influx of tourists in the summer beyond their usual capacity. Freddo espressos are served by the droves in single-use plastic cups, trash blows off of ferries, and our seas are polluted. Millions of tourists leave Greece each year unaware that their eco-footprint outstays their vacation.

We only have one earth and one precious Greece. Along with Tony Kariotis of Greece Media, we are excited to announce Cafè for a Cause. This initiative combines educational posts and a fun, reusable cup (on sale soon!). All proceeds from cup sales will support Aegean Rebreath AND make it easy for you to switch to a single-use cup for coffee time.
