Ancient Lessons, Modern Wellness: Greek philosophies we can apply to live better today
We can learn from ancient philosophers to help us handle the trials of modern living.
What can we learn from the Delphic precepts? How does Stoicism help us navigate the ups and downs of fast-changing times? How was Diogenes “the cynic” ahead of his time? What was the peripatetic school, and why should we take walks?
Join us on September 17th at the Earth & Me Ditmars garden to explore the wisdom and figures from antiquity as a lens for living better today. This workshop is *especially* helpful for navigating uncertainty and dealing with anxiety. We’ll learn and explore several of these lessons and then make it practical with a meditation and some breathwork practices to leave us feeling grounded and centered.
This will be a nourishing afternoon of sharing wisdom, practicing together, and being in community in a beautiful space in Astoria.
When: September 17, 3-4:15 PM
Where: Earth & Me 23-71 31st Street, Astoria, NY 11105
$25 to register. Space is limited for this; reserve ahead :)
Pricing goes up to $30 after September 10!
This is one of our OG Yia Mas workshops, and we’re so excited to bring it back to our community IN PERSON for the first time.
