The story:
In ancient Greek mythology, the nymph Melissa discovered honey and taught the world of its properties, and some stories call certain priestesses who served Demeter and Artemis the “Melissae.” It’s all pretty magical, as is this blend we named after the folklore of the bee. Lemon balm, officially Melissa officinalis, is named for the bees it attracts and has been used as a remedy since antiquity to lift and soothe spirits. It shines alongside lemongrass and a hint of mint, both of which help ease digestion.

Our blends contain all organic herbs. Thanks to a unique climate, soil, and clean environment, these herbs are of the highest quality, rich in flavor and essential oils. Gathered in Naxos and from the mountains of Northern Greece, our Yia Mas blends bring the taste of Greece to your teacup.

Στην Αρχαία Ελληνική μυθολογία, η νύμφη Μέλισσα ανακάλυψε το μέλι και δίδαξε στον κόσμο τις ιδιότητές του, ενώ μερικές ιστορίες ονομάζουν “Μέλισσες” κάποιες ιέρειες που υπηρετούσαν τις θέες Δήμητρα και Αρτεμις. Είναι όλα τόσο μαγικά, όσο και αυτό το μείγμα, το οποίο ονομάσαμε έτσι προς τιμήν των μύθων γύρω από τη μέλισσα. Μελισσόχορτο ή Melissa officinalis, ονομάστηκε λόγω των μελισσών που ελκύει ενώ χρησιμοποιείται από την αρχαιότητα για να εξυψώσει αλλα και να χαλαρώσει το πνεύμα. Ταιριάζει υπέροχα μαζί με το λεμονόχορτο και μια δόση μέντας, τα οποία διευκολύνουν και τη χώνεψη. Αντίο άγχος!
